L3Harris ATPIAL UHP
The L3Harris LA-5C/PEQ UHP is the ultra high power variant of the standard issue AN/PEQ-15 (ATPIAL) Advanced Target/Pointer Illuminator Aiming Laser. It is a compact, self-contained laser aiming system with three functions: Visible Aiming Laser, Infrared Aiming Laser and Infrared Illuminator. It attaches to any M1913 Picatinny rail with a standard rail grabber mount, and the co-aligned IR and visible aiming lasers make for a simple zero procedure — zero one, and the other moves with it.
Its design seats the unit low on the rail and wraps around the Picatinny for a snag-resistant, low profile. Recessed controls sit on top of the housing for easy access with gloves. The high-density impact polymer body is extremely robust and light. A rear-facing, spring-loaded battery compartment lets you remove the battery without removing the unit and absorbs recoil from automatic weapons. Windage and elevation for the aiming lasers use easily accessible knobs.
Its laser output is strong enough to communicate with aerial assets and other ground teams in the AO. The 200 mW infrared illuminator can be focused to a narrow beam, and the high-power visible laser works in direct sunlight. A CQB mode immediately turns the power down to keep the laser from blooming on target at close range.
The LA-5C/PEQ UHP is heavy weapon and machine gun hardened.
Restrictions
IR Lasers are restricted to Law Enforcement and Government sales only and cannot be sold to civilians. Purchase of IR Laser equipment can only occur at the Department, Agency, or Unit level. IR Lasers cannot be sold to individual Law Enforcement, Military, Government, or Contractor personnel. No exceptions. If you are a government employee and would like to purchase an IR laser, you must have your agency place the order for you. We do not make the rules, but we do follow them. These lasers are regulated by the FDA (Food & Drug Administration). Price inquiries must include an email request from an official government or government contractor email address.
